So are The Game Awards™ the official videogame awards thingy now... like the Academy Awards are for movies? It feels wrong to give awards for a year that hasn't finished yet but hey maybe that's just me.

I'm maybe a couple of hours into Metroid Prime 4. 120fps is nice. 5.1 audio is mostly nice (main gun has too much sub). Boss fights still too long. You can invert the camera, but that doesn't follow over to the lock on or the psycho beam that you remote-control. Why not? Will try with "mouse" later!

Bought my 3rd Switch 2 game... which isn't even exclusive to Switch 2. Anyway I look forward to testing out the mouse controls in this new mission on Planet Vulva.

Now comes the process of putting all of these magazines away! I took them down to scan individual pages or video them for the doc. At least now I have an excuse to reorganize the shelves. Somehow some issues I KNOW I used to have are nowhere in sight!

Could things like "Shoot the core!" be an early example of the modern day Radio Buddy? Maybe, but it was super cool to hear back then in arcade games and the like. These days they hold your hand and annoyingly talk you through the entire game.

Telling my kids this is the NiGHTS into Dreams crossover with Croc.
Yeahhhh idk, not feeling this new Yoshi design. Feels too cartoony alongside the realistic texture, probably will get used to it during the film’s runtime though.
