"leftist politics" are a dead end for anything "leftist" in belief. we need to give up on this political identities crap and stop lying to ourselves about the implications of our "political beliefs", when the reality is that politics have made political belief a distant second to political identity.
ideology is the death of reason. "labor" or "left wing" politics keep abandoning what are ostensibly their own principles, bc really these things are political identities more than a set of political principles. theyre more about the trends of the people involved (predominantly landlords, in labour)
