Retired GP, pro choice mother of daughters and grandmother of granddaughters. No RW bullshit or conspiracy theories thanks. No racism, misogyny or anti LGBTQ etc views.
You’re joking right! Surely this car crash of government wouldn’t be quite that stupid?!

As I retired GP I have experienced this with family members not removing access to a vehicle in spite of me notifying Waka Kotahi and their licence being removed. People with dementia can forget!! I had to explain that I could get the police to remove the car if they didn’t.
For those of you who know my involvement in motorsport + caring for an impaired elder, I can’t underline this enough.

Evaluation from the family doctor & if they lose their licence, you MUST remove their vehicle. Dm me if you struggle with this.
Check on your elders people--you want them to transition to not driving well before they drive their car into the home of another family!

@jennycarryer.bsky.social Great column in the paper this morning. I so agree with what you say about the current govt and health ‘ policy’!

Surely a breech of contract or did our deputy PM misspeak about this?

Regulatory Standards Bill could cost up to $60 million a year
And even the most conservative estimates of $18 million a year from Treasury misses the mark i.e. Treasury says most costs are yet to be accounted for

Unbelievably insulting and serves to show how childish and ill equipped for their jobs these two are. Public health doctors and other health workers give their professional lives for a poorly paid job to advance the health and well being of the community
So the deputy prime minister and the minister of health have no real idea what “public health” actually means, nor what public health officials do.
That’s shameful & embarrassing to be honest. If public health officials can’t comment on issues that affect public health, we’re SO fucked.
Subtle isnt it.

This “us” & “them” rhetoric from Seymour & Simeon

Yet health officials are the one’s we rely on to do the work these NAct politicians take credit for if it’s good & blame when it’s bad

This isn’t us. If they divide us we lose. Stand up for health professionals left in NZ

What a clown show!
Boston Globe yesterday, "message apparently did not
reach immigration officials in time."

In several other cases, a person is absconded away, domestically or internationally in spite of a court order, and initial reports allude to information not being shared timely.

This judge smelled a rat.

Remember when Luxon said he didn't take a portfolio so he could remain abreast of all the things his Minister was doing?
How can Luxon honestly say he hasn’t looked at Costello’s “independent advice” when it was made public a week ago and he’s been asked about constantly. What a tool.

But, this is the branch that lets us see what's happening in parliament, which bills and acts are coming out... Luxon's gov picked that to reduce.

Yes indeed and particularly by a party for which 8% of people voted!
If that utterly mendacious referendum proposal is in the deal then Luxon is potentially doing to us what David Cameron did to the UK when agreeing to the Brexit referendum, ie sending us down a very destructive path. Feeling very anxious. #nzpol
