For DECADES now we have inflated the egos of techbros into the sky & beyond.

We elevated them as geniuses & visionaries. It's our job now to deflate those egos & bring these jerks to heel. Knowing how to code or get VC funding does not mean you know anything IMPORTANT about how the world works
This one and NOAA really hit home.

There is no possible way Musk’s cadre of young’uns has the first clue about how complex either the aviation system or the climate system are. This is like handing a six year old the keys and saying, “You drive for a while, I’m going to take a nap in the back."
If we put garages in the back of houses and had an alley to allow access for residents, then we could also put our bins back there while opening the road to bikes and walkers.

Plus our houses would look nicer and we could all have more garden space in the front.

The allegations arose from an affair between McSkimming and the woman who at the time was a junior non-sworn police employee.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

Livid beyond words.

Dismantle the Dems as they now exist and replace them with a real political party.

One that can manage to politic its way out of a paper bag
Under Schumer's leadership, eight Democrats (Cortez Masto, Durbin, Fetterman, Hassan, Kaine, King, Rosen, & Shaheen) joined the Republicans in moving forward a bill to reopen the government without ACA subsidies—Dems' stated key aim—or any other real concessions from the status before the shutdown.

How dare anyone refer to 2008 as 2 decades ago. That's so obnoxious.
I do really think these folks are underestimating how bad the AI backlash can get if the industry needs a bailout

people are still furious about the 2008 bailout and that was almost two decades ago
Tech guys six months ago: haha yes we’re cutting all this WASTEFUL spending by eliminating medical research and USAID

Tech guys now: yes I think taxpayers will be excited to bailout my non consensual pornography machine

I made homemade pesto pasta, grilled asparagus with a homemade balsamic mayo, and a tomato cucumber salad.

It was all very very delicious.

But now my kitchen is a mess. But I don't have the energy to deal with it.

Garden fixed other than the fence and the retaining wall. Which will probably destroy the garden again but I needed this fixed up now.

Also last weekend to plant roses in Auckland and get them established before it’s too hot.

I bought lots and lots of new flowers for the garden today.

Basically angry shopping, which I don't do much and certainly never before for roses 😂

New Lady of Shallot, a Dame Judy Dench, and another Old Wollerton Hall rose--plus new hydrangea and about $200 worth of misc flowers.

i see other people also think we need a labor press (in re Teen Vogue)

One reason we are where we are is that the FCC declared labor-perspective radio stations to be special-interest "propaganda" uses of the airwaves, nearly a century ago; while nat'l commercial b'casting was proclaimed "neutral"
we don't need a Joe Rogan of the left, we need autonomous infrastructure

or at the very least, labor press
