It's not a failing of the victim.
It's a finely honed skill of the abuser.
Why didn't she leave? Because he's spent his whole life perfecting his ability to project a false image of himself & train victims to see the real him as an aberration brought on by external forces...or by her own actions.

Say what you will about the man (and I won't deny he had faults), but Eisner expanded Disney Parks at the proper pace for population growth, whereas Iger has stubbornly refused to do anything but manipulate crowd patterns, creating the absolutely miserable experience Disney Parks are today.
