I have just found out that some reprehensible fucking dork has made an AI chatbot based on the character I played on The Magnus Archives and *it has my voice*. I genuinely don't think I have ever felt so fucking violated. My actual voice. Saying things I have never said. I feel sick.

This correct, and almost none of it is organically arising from the public. The relentless fear and hate of the last decade was deliberately imposed by opportunist politicians, toxic media outlets, crackpot activists and malignant squillionaires, working hand in hand towards similar goals.
There is absolutely nothing left to the UK but bigotry and spite. A hateful place, you can almost taste it in the air, makes it hard to breathe.
Seems there has been some co-ordination.

Like the Pogues Game before it, Whamageddon is (at most) misplaced frustration at the sameness of commercial radio. If you hate constantly hearing Last Christmas, you'd hate hearing any other song on heavy rotation. The solution is to abolish commercial radio entirely
Reminder that Whamaggeddon is absolute loser behaviour. It's one of the best Christmas songs of all time; every penny ever made from it goes to Band Aid charities; it's George fucking Michael!

"Ugh, I got Whamaggeddoned in Boots!"

With a few quibbles, this neatly lays out what I've said about the us economy for a while - it is a high wage, high cost, high risk economy. There are people there earning 2x their European equivalents who are three missed paychecks away from absolute financial ruin.
This is an insightful but deeply upsetting article about why everyone in the US feels poor, and why the current political situation emerges as a direct result.

One other thing that's unusual about this election is that Mamdani really, really hated his political opponent and wanted him to lose. That's also incredibly rare on the left of American politics, if you think about it.

Key piece of information here: absolutely everybody involved here *completely* understands that a) this is utter fucking horseshit, b) taking it seriously is the price of admission to the British establishment.

Let us just sit with that, and consider what else we might need to be skeptical of.

A whole bunch of us have grown up in the UK knowing to flee in the other direction if we spot this flag anywhere. We’re not going to pause to see if there are stickers stuck below them.

And if they’re stuck elsewhere, we will not get close enough to see the text - again, we’re just going to leg it.
Free stickers suitable for flag-bearing lampposts. Send a large A4 envelope with a 1st class large stamp to me at Bragg Office, PO Box 6830 Bridport DT6 9BH and I’ll send you a sheet. #ReclaimtheFlag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

Sure, but none of this is possible without hundreds of MPs and almost the entire national press screaming at the public that protestors are scum who must be stomped upon.

Believing the Labour Party can ever be left wing again at this stage is deluded. It’s a lost cause, give up on it and spend your energy on something more worthwhile.

I'm kind of curious to see whether Labour capitulates here because their MPs have been desperate to get this law in as a gateway to ending online anonymity, but the law is clearly unworkable and will only get more unpopular as time goes on.
