It was deliberate intentional and from the top down. That's how you do it.
The extent to which Games Done Quick has helped to steer the larger speedrunning community - one of the most hardcore video game enthusiast subcultures there is - into becoming something so welcoming, inclusive and supportive astonishes me

The best way to make a social program both more expensive and harder for people who need it to actually access it is to institute means-testing - the stricter the means-testing, the worse the program functions.
"The purpose of entitlements is not to spend as much as possible," the Editorial Board writes.

"It is to make sure the truly vulnerable get the help they need without becoming dependent on government handouts. Scrutinizing food stamp rolls is a small step in that direction."

Agents don’t learn! Interns do! The only reason the metaphor works is cause you treat your interns like shit and belittle them and crudely force them to learn on their own while insulting them and making no efforts to improve your own codebases to facilitate them

That’s not something to be proud of

Law schools get around this by having you read a bunch of food blogs about recipes people have made with comments by people who have eaten the results.

Business schools have you read reviews of restaurants and tell you if they are still in business or not and have you write theoretical menus.

Business schools have the same problem law schools have, in that they are like a culinary school where you are absolutely not allowed to cook anything or use the knives.

College football fans, let me explain what's going on, as some other anti-racists and I had a big part in what you're describing as chaos:

1.College coaches aren't as important as you thought they were
2.College athletes are more important than you thought they were
3.Pay them more. Treat them well

HIS MOM MADE YODA

CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE
- You remind me of the babe.

- What babe?

- The babe with the power.

- What power?

- The power to be surrounded by terrifying puppets without freaking out because he was (accidentally) bred for that specific purpose.

Your characters are a posse of frenemies - at the club, at Denny's, etc. It's late, you've run up a tab, you have to work tomorrow, and you're about to start shit.

Your goal is to have the best night possible without getting arrested.

The GM is there to play the world and fuck with you.
I need everyone to make a shitpost game that fits into at most 3 posts on here before the end of the year otherwise thr sun will not rise again

I posted about moving back to Canada and a man got angry that I was not like setting all my shit on fire to get to Canada faster. I'm not sure why he wanted to rush me but he was very mad that I wasn't midnight dashing to Canada. Apparently moving to a new country in 90 days is slow, now.
What’s the funniest reason someone got mad at you on Bluesky this year?

I do not think it is The Crud, on account of low fever and mostly just ick/head congestion.

But I am still sad about the wrap up and end of Smol Law, it was an excellent imaginary friend for almost ten years.

It was time, but sometimes even good changes are sad.

The Second-Order Streisand Effect is a social phenomenon where if a party makes an effort to censor information, discussion and news about the censorship paradoxically leads to an increased awareness of Barbara Streisand, a musician whom most "Zoomers" would probably have otherwise never heard of

Correction: cat-sized lizard with fur that eats your trash (complimentary)
Sometimes I forget that "possum" means something entirely different in different parts of the world.

Australian possum: cute tiny kangaroo-lookin' critter; enjoys nice snacc

American possum: cat-sized lizard with fur; eats your trash

Both are marsupials though?
