A reminder that most Americans who are life-long citizens have nothing OTHER than a Real ID to prove their citizenship. This is CBP’s chief enforcer saying that ID doesn’t count.
Bovino, the man overseeing mass deportations, publicly declared that we must all have our papers on us, at all times, or we could be stopped, harassed, kidnapped, and detained, as they did with the man in this case, who is a US citizen.

Now, the obvious thing to point to here is that the demand for fancy books is genuine. Publishers have tried lots of other things, and while you can find some success by going other routes, the opinion of the buying public could not be clearer. They like the big, shiny stuff.

This whole thread, but this, this right here.
I have spent much of my adult life trying to reconcile the America I was promised with the America I actually got. That was a long and painful process. And here we are. It's a game of chance, and very often, bare bones survival. That just is what it is. I don't moan about it anymore. I just live it

The Trump Administration is once again stealing directly from the Nazi playbook. Just substitute Jews for migrants. Trump (along with Bannon & Miller) has been pushing this “migrant crime” hysteria since his 5th day in office. See this story from March 2017: www.thewrap.com/der-sturmer-...

A few years ago, Bill Nye the science guy debated creationist Ken Ham about evolution. The last question was "what would change your mind?"

Bill Nye said "Evidence."

Ken Ham said "Nothing can possibly change my mind about this."

I think about that a lot.

In the RPG community, statements that shouldn't be controversial in any way -- like "you should read the rulebook before playing the game" -- are instead seen as radical and unreasonable because D&D's core rules are 900+ pages.

It's like everyone's first board game was Advanced Squad Leader.

The *actual* old school revival we need in RPGs is that glorious post Vampire pre D20/Magic period when everyone was putting out stuff like In Nomine, Unknown Armies and Underground.

Q: Officials say the suspect in the DC shooting was vetted & it came up clean

TRUMP: He went cuckoo. He went nuts. There was no vetting

Q: Actually, your DOJ IG says there was thorough vetting of Afghans. So why blame Biden?

TRUMP: You're just asking questions because you're a stupid person

The truth: He was vetted by Trump. He had a CIA badge, worked with the CIA in Afghanistan, and granted asylum by Trump in April.
