This exactly! We wouldn't even have Trump if the law went after him for all his crimes in the 80s and 90s with the same fervor as someone who knocks over a liquor store.

The impact of white collar crime and corruption is far more impactful and is neglected at all levels.
The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain.

Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow.

if every democrat doesn’t use the “we took freedom of speech away” on every messaging apparatus they have every single day for the next 4 years assume they want to lose
Trump: "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."

People insinuating that Utah Valley University in the heart of Orem, Utah is some sort of radical violent left-wing hive of villainy is the dumbest take I've seen today. That end of the valley is so red it barely knows blue is a color at all.

The maddening thing is that we know EXACTLY how to prevent this. Yes, kids should get vaccinated, test, stay home when sick, mask as much as possible.

But even without any of that: Better ventilation and filtration in schools can MASSIVELY reduce viral spread, for all sorts of respiratory diseases.

Things like this have been inevitable one big tech companies started making arguments that they can't polls) possibly self police content because there is too much.

Hate speech, fake products, fraud, etc., lead to "we can't make our plagiarism machines not assist people in committing suicide"
I got the complaint in the horrific OpenAI self harm case the the NY Times reported today

This is way way worse even than the NYT article makes it out to be

OpenAI absolutely deserves to be run out of business

They're going to spike everyone's energy prices. Your energy prices are going up and it's Trump's fault. Plain as day.

Breaking News: The Trump administration ordered construction to stop on a $4 billion wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island that has already mostly been built.

The @democrats.org MUST air ads on this, and the NOAA/FEMA cuts, before the midterms.

We've sat through years of utterly false claims from rupubs about democrats endangering people. When it actually happens like this we can't stop because of "norms and decourum".

I haven't heard anyone put the issue as succinctly as Lander has here. The fight in the Democratic party is between fighters and folders.

Any of the folders need to be primaried out of their cushy offices.
NYC Comptroller Brad Lander: "I don't think the line for the [Democratic] party right now is between progressives and moderates; I think it's between fighters and folders."

This explains why so many elected democrats, especially those in leadership, are not only not stepping up to the challenge, they're not even in the same vicinity of the challenge.
I did an event in DC & there was a party for donors etc after. Was talking to 2 ppl & I said "Things are so bad." They said "No this is how it is. Things swing one way, then another. It's normal."

That's when I realized why Dems are toothless. They have no idea what this is. Frogs boiling in water.
