this was a business discovery to us! we wondered for ages why our subscriber base wasn't matching broader games media reading patterns; when we asked around, turns out loads of europeans simply don't like using credit cards.

Found out a few months ago that a handful of movies that can never be shown because the eccentric real estate developer that produced them said so in his will and one of them appears to be Masaki Kobayashi's Shokutaku no nai ie AKA The Empty Table, staring the now deceased Tatsuya Nakadai.

Rhythm games rarely get the respect they deserve but I believe in my heart that they are gaming doing something more unique to itself than any other genre.

The thing that gets me about ARC’s use of fully generated barks, as well as in The Finals, is that the juice is absolutely not worth the squeeze in a game that is unquestionably high effort. Like it sounds bad because there isn’t a human performance to ground it.
For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore.
