Casey is right here. GenAI is being rejected pretty roundly.

But automation? Procedural generation? Algorithmic calculation? These are just tools that people use, you still have to do the work and creativity. Those aren't the things solidly rejected. Tell your friends!
I can understand asking for nuance in these discussions, but deliberately muddying the water by bringing up automation tools that people understand are not generative AI and asking for a middle ground is disingenuous. The nuanced position is that people are roundly rejecting the tech, respect that.
"Surely there's a middle ground here?" The CEO of Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead says people "jump to extreme takes" when debating generative AI, and that there needs to be more nuance in the discussion.

Looks like it's that time again for an important PSA!

If someone on Discord sends you a DM about playing/testing a game, DON'T OPEN IT! It's a known phishing virus scam that also bypasses 2FA!

Been seeing a lot of folks on my skyline losing their Discord accounts and I'm really sad.

The second night Rew was here, my water heater burst, and flooded my downstairs neighbor's laundry room. We've met but we definitely met more formally when I brought cookies down to express the sorrow for what happened (even if I didn't make it burst.)

When she found out I had just adopted Rew, she

Mother bought me the Portal starter kit, a Fifth Edition deck, and a bunch of booster packs.

None of these were blue specific, I just naturally gravitated towards that.
What's the lore behind you getting into @magic.wizards.com?

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

Me, when the slightest inconvenience happens when I'm alone: "Fuck me. Fuck my life. Fuck everything."
i think a good lesson for game devs would be to remember that people don't really talk to themselves. when they do, it's "ah fuck" or "really?" and, again, it's rare. i lived alone for many years and i am happy to consult on this. i DO talk to my cat, of course. you could put a cat in.

Okay. My most woke opinion is that UBI is an awesome stepping stone to give us room to realize that taxing wealthy people and corporations, distributing the money, and people just paying it back into those corps to be taxed back out is an unnecessary loop and we can make an even better system.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

Hey so, today is my last day at Crystal Dynamics apparently. I joined the company in 2018 to work on Marvel's Avengers and it's been the longest (and best) job I've ever had. It now means I'm looking for work, so if you know of any senior writer/narrative designer positions please send them my way.

If it bothers you that your passive games subscription and clicks to the NYT Games cartel is funding their awful OpEd army and "journalism," there are a wealth of puzzle/game options less iffy/yikes complicit, and many are direct clones to your NYT faves.
