Hey so, today is my last day at Crystal Dynamics apparently. I joined the company in 2018 to work on Marvel's Avengers and it's been the longest (and best) job I've ever had. It now means I'm looking for work, so if you know of any senior writer/narrative designer positions please send them my way.

You ever pick a random game from your Steam library to play and find yourself enthralled? Enamored by Tangle Tower, the sequel to Detective Grimoire. Great acting, animation, art. Whodunnit? No clue, but I'm having fun figuring it out!

Did you know VFX is one of the few departments in film/TV that isn't unionized?

And that "bad VFX" is almost always a result of workers being given insanely unrealistic deadlines from clients that they have to accept or they lose that work entirely?

y'all if I have to hear one more person (especially a DIRECTOR) go on about how a film was "all practical," devaluing the work of likely hundreds of VFX workers whose best work is purposefully invisible, I will scream

y'all I turned 35 a couple weeks ago and I'm coming to the realization that you REALLY gotta be doing something interesting to get me to read a book over 500 pages anymore
