I'm not sure if people realize the murder strikes are taking place across a large region. It's quite staggering.

Again, I don’t want to get too personal but the most tepidly political, structurally vulnerable people in my life were protesting ICE all week. The juxtaposition here is just wild.
The degree to which the Democratic Party is failing to meet this moment is staggering. And INFURIATING, when contrasted with the courage on display from ordinary people with far, far less power & protection.

Everyone is arguing about which politicians were connected to Epstein. Meanwhile the children are treated like NPCs instead of human beings who deserve justice.

Hi yall
Full transparency, I talk about how I don’t tour internationally cause of all the cost of touring
Even when most of our cost are covered, unexpected shit like our plane detouring 12 hours to SFO makes us have to rebook trains and lodging
We threw shirts up, help if you can

INTERVIEWER: As you know, we are a nation beset by myriad horrors. What are you doing to fight back?
SCHUMER: I have been reaching out to the horrors, many of which are friends, in hopes of working together on this for all Americans. You demand we descend into hell? Well ok, but let's do it right.

Saw someone post about how it's really fucked up that we all have to speculate about whether or not the FBI manufactured evidence to back their version of events. The thing is, you should always suspect that about law enforcement—these guys are just more clown-ish and obvious about it.

Three people in ICE custody killed is an atrocity, yes. But if we agree on that - and not everyone does as this administration is clearly fine with who in fact was killed - then what is this? We literally disappeared people. People with families, friends, lawyers. No one knows where tf they are.
Odd to me this country has disappeared 1,800 people that were held in Alligator Alcatraz. Ice can’t/won’t say where they are and elected officials are not screaming from the rooftops. News media disinterested.

cancelling Disney+ and Hulu is well and good but it’s not a huge hit on an individual level

but Disney adults? people who spend real money at the parks? you guys can make a dent, call ‘em up and tell them your vacation is postponed until they pull their heads out of their asses
Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.

Also, likely to have Warner Bros. Discovery (which includes HBO and CNN) based on what's been said. So, you know...

Of course, I'm sure we'll continue to hear about how "the woke liberal media" is against MAGA.
So right-wing oligarchs now control X, Facebook, TikTok, WaPo, Fox News, CBS...and others not controlled by them are capitulating. Do I have that right?

a question I often find myself asking these days: "are these the moves of a movement that feels that it's winning or one desperately afraid that it's about to lose everything?"
what we’ve seen from the right is the most insane case of cancel culture i’ve ever witnessed. the left has never even done close to a fraction of a fraction of what they want to do now

Charlie Kirk's death has truly laid bare just how fascist the USA has become, and by extension, the Empire.

The sycophantic ass kissing, the immediate deference to cops, the pivoting to whatever issue people want to push over the corpse of a fascist.

Hook, line, and sinker, fascism is mainstream.

especially wild to have hypocritical discussions about "political violence" today

9/11 for mourning political violence against Allende, Biko, Balbir Sodhi, Gustafsen Lake, Attica, Sabra & Shatilla, Somalia

Today for the 4.5 million who died after 9/11 in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan.

Last few years is crazy work. Flint’s water crisis, poisoned water for the sake of AI, the response to Hurricane Katrina are all political violence.

When using “violence” in this way, it is not singled out to the physical definition. No matter how many middle men you add, violence is violence.

this 9/11, never forget that the massive expansion of surveillance that happened afterwards due to the Patriot Act was a harbinger of our current techno fascist dystopia. they found the biggest reason people would accept violations of privacy and they've run with it ever since

Whether or not you support political violence won’t change where we’ve come to, nor where we’ve been for some time in this country. I am quite taken aback by how many people only invoke the term ‘political violence’ when it happens to a person with power. It’s political violence the other way too.
