Not sure how accurate it is to call @kajakallas.bsky.social the EU’s top diplomat, but she’s something even more essential: the EU’s top truth-teller. While other leaders pretend there’s a peace process, she correctly says that Putin has offered no concessions & can’t be trusted to stick to a deal.

Nevertheless, even if Europe is moving in the right direction but all European publics see is their leaders flattering Trump, it may have a demoralising effect. The limits of the placating strategy are therefore coming closer with every new provocation Trump comes up with.
