Homsest algab eelvalimine - digivärk ja puha! Mul on SULLE üks palve:

PALUN VÕTA SEE VASTUTUS JA MINE VALIMA!

Kes iganes SINU hääle saab on selle hääle ära teeninud. Sina annad hääle ja vastu saad õiguse nõuda sellelt isikult, kellele sa hääle annad, et ta teeks mida lubas.

Ja nõua!

“even if it consolidates its territorial gains and keeps Ukraine out of NATO, Russia will have won only a pyrrhic victory, mortgaging its future for the sake of a few bombed-out square kilometers. In other words, Russia is effectively losing the war in Ukraine—not to Ukraine, but to everyone else.”
For Russia, the war against Ukraine was meant to catalyze national revival, Jeremy Shapiro writes—instead, it has become a case study in national self-harm.

Not sure how accurate it is to call @kajakallas.bsky.social the EU’s top diplomat, but she’s something even more essential: the EU’s top truth-teller. While other leaders pretend there’s a peace process, she correctly says that Putin has offered no concessions & can’t be trusted to stick to a deal.
🤖 Proposed Ukraine land concessions are Putin's trap, EU's top diplomat tells BBC

NATO membership is effective because it's assumed the alliance is too big and too important for the US to let it fall apart, and so a military attack will be met with a US military response

It's not because of the literal wording of Article 5, which allows space to not respond militarily

Nevertheless, even if Europe is moving in the right direction but all European publics see is their leaders flattering Trump, it may have a demoralising effect. The limits of the placating strategy are therefore coming closer with every new provocation Trump comes up with.

the Trump administrations have been a giant red team exercise against the US constitutional, statutory, administrative, and political orders and BOY HOWDY have they revealed a lot of unpatched vulnerabilities
Since @orinkerr.bsky.social asked, a thread, from limited information reported online, about how I see the US attorney mess in DNJ.

1. Trump picked Habba as interim US Attorney under 28 USC 546. Technically, the AG is supposed to pick, but whatever. She gets 120 days to serve.

So... we wait for 2027...

Chinese goods are flooding small, out-of-the way places like Albania (lhs) and Switzerland (rhs). That's the huge impact US tariffs are having on Chinese exporters, who face overflowing warehouses with goods that should have gone to the US and are now getting dumped on countries all over the place.
