After illegally abducting Maduro, Trump has just sold $250M of Venezuela's oil to Vitol.

John Addison, a senior trader at Vitol who helped broker the deal, gave $6M to Trump's 2024 campaign.

Pay-to-play imperialism.

The FCC says that daytime and late-night TV talk shows featuring interviews with political candidates must comply with “equal time” rules, which require them to provide airtime to opposing candidates' views.
Late-night and daytime talk shows must offer equal time for candidate interviews, FCC says
Democratic Commissioner Anna Gomez said the guidance contrasts with the FCC's long-standing view that such programs are entitled to editorial discretion based on newsworthiness, not political favoritism.

The autopsy done by the Good family strongly suggests that the second or third shot that ICE agent Ross fired killed her; those two shots are the LEAST defensible as self-defense as Good was driving away from Ross, and deadly force would be least justified. And yet Trump/Vance protect him....
I've been waiting for this.

Independent autopsy of Renee Good is in. It's strong evidence against Agent Ross, given what it means about the second or third shot through the left-side window.

It's the second and third shots that make the easiest criminal case of a willful killing.
Independent autopsy in ICE shooting death of Renee Good released by law firm in civil investigation
The results of an independent autopsy for Renee Good have been released as part of a law firm's civil investigation, two weeks after she was shot and killed by a federal agent in Minneapolis.

Nasra Ahmed, a 23-year-old US citizen, was arrested and detained by ICE. She was held for TWO DAYS.

ICE agents handcuffed her, called her a racial slur, and she was knocked to the ground so hard she got a concussion.

This cannot continue happening. ICE needs to leave.

AOC: The president has been acting in increasingly erratic ways. It is really damning when we think about the degree to which media outlets reported on Joe Biden, yet we are seeing behavior from Trump that is alarming and everyone is pretending this is normal.

Orin is probably the preeminent fourth amendment scholar in the United States. He is also extremely professional. This is the way he says "I wish a bitch would try"
This DHS memorandum says that the DHS General Counsel's office has adopted a new position that the Fourth Amendment allows entry into the home to make an arrest just based on an administrative warrant.

I would like to see that argument.

Is it @startribune.com policy to refer to anyone confronting ICE as a protester? This obscures the nature of what people are doing. We're not protesting ICE. We're constitutional observers documenting human rights abuses by agents of the state.

I try to avoid hyperbole when it comes to Trump policies, but this is absolutely frickin’ insane—on about eleventy different levels.

Massive, systemic Fourth Amendment violations because … reasons.
ICE secretly told its officers that any time someone has been ordered removed, ICE can break down their door.

It has been accepted for generations that the only thing which can authorize agents to break into your home is a warrant signed by a judge. No wonder ICE hid this memo!

Congress ordered CBP to create a biometric entry/exit system 25 years ago. The problem was that the tech wasn't there until recently, and the agency never pushed hard for it. In late 2020, CBP proposed a rule to implement it. That rule sat until 2025, when the Trump admin finalized it December 26.
It appears the jetway photos at Logan were part of CBP "biometric exit" program, which has been tested for years but was quietly approved for wider rollout in Sept. (Doesn't explain threats to passenger)

These poll numbers are beyond catastrophic for Trump.

The whole world needs to have the courage now to unite and do what the GOP has been too cowardly to do: Remove him from office right now.

He's not a lame duck, he's a dead duck. And the sooner people understand that, the sooner we can move on.

Yup. Imagine Russia proposing to buy back Alaska. Not only would we not do it, we’d be outraged and refuse to even discuss it. It would be political suicide for any American official to treat the idea of selling our citizens to a foreign power as a serious option under consideration.
Precisely. Negotiations are impossible. To even talk about holding them would imply that Greenland's sovereignty is up for grabs and validate Trump's stance.
