A badass trans woman in my area held a benefit punk show, with masks required, and raised almost $1000 for trans healthcare!

You won't see articles about this kind of thing. It goes on underground all the time.

Spent Christmas Eve evening with some of my #BikeChi family, packing up 150 cheesecakes and riding around the city, passing them out to neighbors on the street and community fridges for some last minute Christmas cheer 🎅🏽🫶🏽🚲🍰

It is almost a new year... already... again! A lot of bad stuff happened in 2025 - but there was some good stuff, like these meals our volunteers made & shared w/our unhoused neighbors!

We rely on donations to feed people

Heavy rains continue to beat down on Palestinians in Gaza.

Only a small fraction of “aid” is coming in. Hospitals operate in spite of destroyed infrastructure, lack of medical equipment, fuel, etc.

Please give and follow Sameer Project on other platforms to see the life-saving work they are doing
A small but concrete task for today:

Sameer Project told us on 12/25 that it costs $38 for 1 blanket, which can help keep a family that is in their 3rd winter in genocide (😢) warm.

Can anyone join us today in donating the cost of one blanket to Sameer? Can you get 1 other person to join you?

Tying mutual aid to the state and politicians is in fact how we got into this mess in the first place! The point of mutual aid is replacing the logics of state and market not just tying them back to the state!!! We cannot be doing this again!!!!

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

I love this SO much!

This is what we mean when we say New York is the greatest city in the world (and I say that as someone who lives in Boston, lol).
Freaking love this city and all the people in it so much….a bunch of people went and turned the 4 train into the Polar Express giving out toys to kids along the way from the Bronx to Brooklyn….shoutout to the @newyorkers.live account on IG for doing this 🙏 www.instagram.com/reel/DSnsvWS...

I actually cant imagine half the work ive done with comrades and siblings across Appalachia and the south without it. We love Firestorm and in classic fashion they spent 16 months being an absolutely crucial mutual aid and organizing hub without even talking about what they were facing.

Firestorm is genuinely one of the most important pieces of movement infrastructure on the entire east coast. The number of different projects it has connected, supported and connected folks through while still just being a dope book store and social space. Please follow and learn how to support!

post-🎧 reflections:
the Bund & the concept of "Hereness" mirrors the practice of mutual aid in that both ask of us to start w. where we are & what we have. both ask of us to stop looking outward for solutions & instead build & invest in our current geographical temporality.

Doikayt Now! @mollycrabapple.bsky.social joins @ayoub.bsky.social to talk about the Bund and how their concept of ‘Hereness’ can help us build a better world than the hellscape being proposed by techno-dystopianism and end-time fascism.

This past week we offered a hot meal to about 9500 people. As weaponized starvation ravages through the strip, community kitchens become even more vital. those who come to our kitchens don't have other options & our kitchens are solely sustained by global financial solidarity

mutual aid is a great way to build community & resilience. it also allows to start building the alternative systems we need to divest from & overthrow the state. by coming together to understand and meet each others needs & wants we are brining the revolution into our everyday life
fascism is an an atomizing force and community solidarity is a massive way to defeating it. find your communities do what you can to build resilience into them and yourself. we will not survive this fascism alone. The only way we survive is by coming together.

I want to provide a space where people can find inspiration, a morale boost, a break from the firehose of horrors, and resources for doing similar work in their own communities.

every week at the free store, we have a list of a few “special requests” - items that people need but which are outside of our ordinary stock. for the holidays, we decided to do something special. last week, we asked every person in line to make a request for something they wanted or needed (1/3)

— Literally just getting together in small groups. Maybe share a meal

— Having nuanced conversation about our fears/ thoughts/plans/strategies/ local, regional, State, & federal elections/outlooks, etc

— Sharing resources of all kinds: clothes; food; vacuums; tools; cars; cleaning supplies; books
What are people doing w/neighbors & friends to create & nurture networks of collective care & mutual aid? What small but significant (or super size me and spectacular, and everything in between) actions & practices are people talking about, preparing for, or taking?

Need met, y'all. Amazing work. Any additional funds will go to rent support for families.
Tomorrow is the last day of this holiday toy drive for Chicago families impacted by ICE. 41 of the 60 kids who were registered have had a present purchased.

Organizers are hoping every child and family can receive a gift. Let's help them reach their goal!
