The eye exam is the perfect game design. That big E is a great tutorial that teaches you the basic mechanic. But it doesn't baby you and quickly gets hard as they introduce the small and blurry enemies.

Over the years, fans have asked why I depicted Fitz wielding a sword on the cover when his weapon of choice throughout the book was an axe. 1/4
Standing on a broken, partially uprooted tree trunk, a man throws his arms wide and his head back with eyes closed. We embrace differing opinions, but what we simply cannot abide is the disruption of other members' posts with unsolicited anti-AI finger-wagging. It's rather like interrupting a pleasant tea party with a loud declaration that tea is terrible. How terribly gauche! Our sidebar titles, my dears, are a cheeky little jest aimed at those vocal anti-AI disruptors. For #screenshotsaturday, a very silly relic! The "Dream Eater" plush tapir was widely sold as a way to help stressed workers get a good night's sleep. Little did they know that the plush little toy was spying on their dreams and sending them back to HQ for data mining...
A relic card for a "Plush Tapir" in blue and purple colors. Effect: "All dialog encounters restore +5 HP when completed. Dialog options are scrambled..." A dialog encounter labeled "Canine Service Station". The options the player would normally have to interact with the event have had their labels replaced by strings of random symbols, like smiley faces, card suits, arrows, and other symbols. Flavor text for the event: HoundsTooth security drones have a battery life of more than a year, but based on the racks of dormant dog drones in this workshop, they still need to be serviced somewhere. You watch as one leaps up onto the bench below the racks. Its orange paintjob is dappled by the scanner light, checking its chassis for bumps and dents. Blunt mechanical arms descend, lifting off its belt-fed machine gun. Its voicesynth lets out a soft whine, as if the gun is a favorite toy.

The Neighborhood Listen is as funny as it gets (imo, anyways) and I think it’s among the best of @pftompkins.bsky.social work, of which there is a lot. The season finales w/ Mitch Silpa absolutely slap. The chemistry among PFT, Nicole, and Brett is incredible, and this season has been truly demented
