The horrific tragedy at Brown University is the 389th mass shooting this year and the 230th gun incident on school grounds so far this year.

This is not normal and we don't have to live this way.

Arash Azizi, you are embarrassing yourself.
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

Democratic leadership didn’t want to stick their necks out for him. The GOP didn’t want him even referred to as a “Maryland man.” Sen. Chris Van Hollen, his congressional representative fought for him. And we should never forget any of this. apnews.com/article/abre...

This is the difference between NY and DC political people. NY be like say it to my face and DC is like you have violated decorum by suggesting that someone be accountable for the stmts they made in their capacity as leader of the organization.
Always remember, snitch tagging (tagging someone I did not mention in my post and thereby forcing them into my conversation) is an immediate block

Third Way, if you’d think running moderates is the key to winning red and purple districts, nobody’s stopping you from recruiting and running them there. But NYC is neither red, nor purple, and since moderates there have discredited themselves they can and should elect the leftist they like.

There is absolutely nothing old or consolidated about *multiracial, pluralistic democracy* in America. It only started 60 years ago.

And the conflict over whether or not it should be allowed to endure and prosper has been the central fault line in U.S. politics ever since.

I don’t watch the news anymore, not cable, not network. I’m in a hotel this morning so I’ve got Good Morning America on and wow, they are not soft-pedaling their coverage of the shutdown and the ACA defunding. If people still don’t know that the GOP are the cause, it’s because they don’t want to.
