My name is Kris Brown, I’m the president of @bradybuzz.bsky.social, and as I work to end gun violence, my greatest goal is to put myself out of work.

When gun violence is the #1 killer of kids and young people in America, inaction is not an option.
Shrinking the government for sport didn’t make us any safer.

It weakened the very systems that protect against gun violence, while still increasing government spending and substantially escalating risk.

Failure, end of story.

This holiday season, as kids search for presents, they may find something far more dangerous. Guns are the leading cause of death for children in America. Secure your firearms and make safety the greatest gift of all.

American gun policy is so reckless that it’s fueling violence in other countries.

We export our guns. We export harm.

The gun industry cashes in, and our inaction has a body count.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate.

To the families who carry a quiet ache this year — missing a laugh, a hug, someone who should still be here — we hold you dear and we remember your loved ones.

May this season remind us that we belong to one another.

During the holidays, homes are full of loved ones and filled with activity, including kids who are curious and quick.

Let’s keep everyone safe this season. If you own a gun, please store it securely with ammo kept separately. This small step can save a life. @endfamilyfire.org

The administration eliminated funding to the American Academy of Pediatrics because AAP spoke honestly. This retaliation is cruelty dressed up as governance.

These cuts are part of a broader pattern by the White House to weaken life-saving work.

Our Chief Legal Officer Doug Letter is right: this disastrous + deadly decision by DOJ to ignore DC’s assault weapon ban will make shootings deadlier + it puts the our residents at grave risk. This will be fought in court, and we must vigorously defend common-sense gun laws.

The gun industry didn’t just sell guns, it also flooded the market with at least 717 *million* large-capacity magazines, making mass shootings deadlier. It’s time for bold federal action, enough with the excuses.

No one is saying the FBI Director shouldn’t be protected.

We are asking why leaders like Kash Patel rush to armor themselves while the President is telling students after school shootings that “these things happen.”

My heart breaks for the loss of Donovan Metayer, and my thoughts are with all who loved him.

He survived the Parkland shooting but trauma doesn’t end when the bullets stop. We owe it to Donovan and others we’ve lost to enact gun reforms so no one else has to carry this pain.

We may not yet have all of the information about the Brown shooting, but one truth is clear: no campus, no family, no one should ever face this kind of pain.

This tragedy demands action of all of us. We owe it to the victims and the survivors. Let’s protect each other with real solutions NOW.

The Brown University shooter was found. And yet, little is fixed. Our country is awash in guns and a community is forever changed.

Survivors will carry fear into lecture halls, unimaginable grief, and trauma long after the cameras leave. This is the legacy of gun violence America keeps ignoring.

Unsecured guns kill or injure 8 kids a day.

Pres. Trump talked a lot about being "tough on crime" in his lie-filled, racially charged address tonight. But no mention of guns. I wonder why?

Could it be that while the nation is reeling from another mass shooting, his deeply unpopular position remains that we need more guns everywhere?

Did you know credit card companies can help prevent mass shootings by flagging suspicious, bulk purchasing of firearms & ammo?

This would prevent horrific tragedies like the Vegas shooting. It's used for many products.

But NRA-backed members of Congress are pushing legislation to block this tool.

About 4.6 million children live in homes with loaded, unlocked guns, and a third of adolescents say they can access one in minutes. Each year, thousands are injured or killed.

During the holidays, merely searching for gifts or exploring a new home can turn deadly if firearms aren’t safely stored.
