Every time I read an FDR speech it breaks my heart to see someone who assumes his audience is actually capable of understanding complex ideas and interested in learning more.
We have got to make politics intellectual again. It is the only way that societies thrive is when politicians have the capability to actually think and reflect deeply:

I don't think MAGA is dead but it certainly seems to be in its dying throes, its Blitzkrieg on democracy from earlier this year has stalled out and the internal contradictions of its fragile coalition that is only held together by a shared rapaciousness and cruelty are ensuring its days are numbered
