Weird. Usually if you get a really big fossil resource crash it's during a temperature extreme... that's a joke, but it's also true. Like writing a paper once I found out that Texas had a 4 GW coal plant crash in 2008 not just DURING a heat wave but BECAUSE of the heat wave.

Remember, the big argument for AI in the arts is that these “artists” have ideas, hundreds of ideas, thousands, all that was stopping them was the hoards of gatekeeping musicians, writers, illustrators… and not that they were lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.

Cool cool so their incentive is to keep growing costs as fast as possible in order to make their revenue grow

it's interesting how both parties voting to condemn socialism has only made it more popular? I wonder if there's a popular apocryphal quote ascribed to Gandhi about that....

To be explicit, we executed a German U-Boat commander who said he had to sink lifesaving gear / “inadvertently” kill survivors because it might give away his position, thereby potentially resulting in the loss of his submarine.

We executed multiple members of that crew.
Heinz-Wilhelm Eck might have something to say about this one.

Please PLEASE read this properly. I cannot have you send back the book to me because you didn’t accurately read the information and just wanted a print: a book I can’t resell because I personalised it to you.

Why would I just give away my mum’s prints for free for no reason?

Contd…
Newsflash for those in the UK: I have the most BRILLIANT selection of my mum's original art to give away, with a handful of signed hardbacks of this.

Cover price plus p&p (art is entirely free).

Please email your address to hello@tom-cox.com if you'd like to grab them before they're gone.

The Village Message Board
Its authenticity was discredited because of his reputation, but also because he was quick with gin at the time and wearing an item of knitwear back to front.

Corporate Media is going to pretend that Trump is heartbroken about the two West Virginian National Guardsmen being shot in DC, but the entire point of moving a standing army into a peaceful city was to induce violence by The People to justify more violence by Trump on The People in retaliation.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.
