Pointing gambling taxes at the most harmful forms of gambling, whilst supporting community institutions that involve low-harm gambling. Another example of Labour in action.
Abolition of bingo duty

It's a measure from the 2025 budget which often gets overlooked.

It raises less than £30m a year.

But for the 250 bingo halls (which pay the majority of the tax) and the +2.5m members, it could make the difference between being profitable or closing down.
Tax Minister and Bingo Association celebrate scrapping of Bingo Duty
Bingo clubs across Britain are celebrating the scrapping of bingo duty as UK tax minister Dan Tomlinson and the Bingo Association’s Paul Swindon joined players in London.

How about we organise some sort of fire & light festival?

The Labour government has done something really good.

Yup.
The House of Lords fought hard to dilute parts of Labour’s Employment Rights Bill – but the core reforms survived. From sick pay to fire-and-rehire, here's how the landscape is about to change dramatically ⤵️

Suspect some female Tory MPs are quietly dying inside at this. When you’re so desperate to get in a bit of gratuitous foreigner-bashing that you find yourself arguing *against* preventative strategies that try to prevent sexual violence, ffs, what have you become?
Dog-whistle and factually incorrect. Ladies, raise your hand if you were sexually assaulted by a boy at school? I’d wager this or a family member is most women’s first experience of sexual violence

Here's a good plan.
Even if they'd still have £7.5million left afterwards.
I live in Wales and today received my Join Us letter from Reform UK, complete with SAE which I posted back to them, immediately, empty. If every other person in Wales did this, Reform would spend over £1.5 million on postage. Not sorry. Join me Cymru.

This is very funny.

Only yesterday Starmer was swatting away hacks at a press conference who believed they had questions to answer over it.

The mainstream media, the Tories, and Farage accused Reeves of doing something wrong, again, and were proved wrong, again.

It’s marvellous.
