Realized this is the first full week Kupchellacrats go from “Me sowing: Haha fuck yeah!!! Yes!!” over Frey’s re-election to “Me reaping: Well this fucking sucks. What the fuck“ trying to get Walz re-elected. A Precarious State indeed.

This is why my union has not endorsed in this race. Frey has betrayed working people over and over again with the latest being vetoing an ADVISORY board on labor standards

Time for a new mayor @omarfatehmn.com @dewayneforminneapolis.com @jazzformayor.bsky.social
2017 AFSCME mailer said Frey will "stand up to rich CEOs and special interests." 8 years later Minneapolis is a bottomless pit of corporate and special interest funded Frey-aligned PACs.

Doing a podcast is way outside my comfort zone but this election is too important! We must re-elect a progressive and pro-worker council. And, it’s time for a new mayor! Really grateful to @wedge.live for having me!!

I cannot think of a more consequential election for our city.
brian fritterer is the owner of new build with encroaching rock wall in photos 1 & 4 on cedar lake. he owns IPG, whose tenants formed a union to get him to address neglect of his properties. he donated $500k to donald trump, maxed out to elizabeth shaffer and lydia millard bsky.app/profile/tayl...

Disappointed mayoral challengers haven't adopted this as a stock response on encampments: "You're damn right I believe encampments shouldn't exist. I question the mayor's commitment to that goal. For yrs under his leadership we've seen an endless string of encampment tragedies."

I’m still thinking about the fact that a Strib reporter, who is herself protected and represented by a union, tried to blame Ann Kim’s mismanagement of the finances of her business and total PR flops on her workers who attempted to unionize. And used a known wage thief to try to help make the point

Unacceptable.
It is inexcusable to overturn the DFL endorsement from Omar Fateh.

A small group, a majority living outside Minneapolis, met privately to overturn the will of Minneapolis delegates who volunteered, organized, and participated in a months-long DFL process.

Really excited to be supporting @jason4parks.bsky.social Whether we’re taking our dog, Left-Eye, for a quick spin around Triangle Park or out for longer stroll by Isles, Minneapolis Parks are a critical part of our family’s daily rituals. We know Jason will be a great commissioner for our district!
I heard Stephen Miller, known white supremacist and the architect of our terrible immigration policy, had some things to say about Minneapolis parks.

This is the tension that still divides Minneapolis today. The city’s elite trying to bribe the people with bread and circuses and big ooh aah fireworks to distract easily amused laborers. The “past troubles’ referred to here were deputized MPD officers killing working people. Sound familiar?
#OnThisDay: July 12 1941: The Minneapolis Aquitennial opens with a parade down Nicollet Ave, organized by business leaders "to take the minds of citizens off past troubles." The weekend events celebrating the city pushed aside the Teamsters Picnics that had honored the labor movement since 1934.
