They let us make these pretty long, huh?
I swear to god it would not take much less time to taxi at ORD if you landed right by the lake and took the highway.

ChatGPT is Versailles 2, all the rich guys are all pretending that this stuff is cool or makes them smarter and with each aberration of that lie they thus have to start saying and believing fundamentally insane things, all so that the central financial insanity can be further rationalised
"I’ll go down this thread with GPT or Grok and I’ll start to get to the edge of what’s known in quantum physics and then I’m doing the equivalent of vibe coding, except it’s vibe physics,” said Travis Kalanick, the founder of Uber.

Musk has adjusted Grok’s algorithm so it’s now a neo-Nazi.

Pretty cool that almost every progressive commentator, elected official and organization still uses Musk’s X algorithm to communicate with the public! Good job guys.

Sen. Dick Durbin is asking Attorney General Bondi how she came to the conclusion that the Qatari gift of a $400 million jet to Trump would be "legally permissible."

Durbin asks Bondi if she recused herself from the matter because she previously worked as a lobbyist for Qatar.

It's not even clear that the MeToo allegations had anything to do with Diaz's exclusion. This was a comprehensive update to an anthology that aims to cover the entire scope of western literature. A LOT of authors are left out for all kinds of reasons!

What seems to have happened here is that an anthology was updated and Junot Diaz's work — like dozens of other authors — was taken out.

Were previous editions destroyed? No.
Are Diaz's stories no longer available? No.

How has he 'been disappeared' exactly?

People who say we should make a living with our hands have never worked in an assembly shop, or know a lineman, or actually understand what being a plumber or a pipe-fitter or a electrician actually entails.

The basic formula for peasant meals is grain + legume + flavor/micronutrients. Beans and rice plus whatever produce tastes good sautéed in butter or olive oil and chucked on top of a serving and voilà.
Dear people who may soon suffer food insecurity

Listen up, it super fucking sucks and will do lasting psych damage the rest of your life. This is not a joke or exaggeration. What you have on hand will forever after be a source of anxiety.

SO. To help you in the coming days here's some tips

This seems to have pierced through the collective consciousness because people see the direct connection with their bills and retirement. But really, this is how they are running the whole government. This is DOGE and downsizing. Its all a mixture of radicals, conspiracy cranks and know-nothings.
I don’t think people realize how bad it’s going to get tomorrow when Wall Street finally collectively realizes that these people have no idea how economics work, and then it’s gonna be a scramble to not be the one left holding the bag.

As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.

The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.

Maybe it's not the judges?

Gosh. Maybe if government were shut down right now you could demand resignations in return for voting to reopen it.

Oh well, glad you blew your one bargaining chip and got absolutely nothing for it.

Resign.
For Pete Hegseth to send war plans in such a reckless way puts every single American at risk.

He intentionally put highly classified information on an unclassified device.

Every single Senator must demand accountability. The Senate must investigate.

It is a sad day for the legal industry. Paul Weiss, didn't just bend a knee, it set a new standard for shameful capitulation. This is a stain on the firm, every one of its partners, and the entire legal profession.

Donald Trump is literally trying to ban words and muzzle the media. So you’ll definitely protest that in your Netflix specials, right? Otherwise I’m gonna start thinking it was about something else entirely idk
can’t wait for all the brave, free-thinking comedy bros who were “pushing boundaries” with trans jokes to find some new material now that anti-trans hate is literally government policy. Any minute now. Should be happening…any second…right?

It’s already in overdrive, you chose to allow it to keep happening for absolutely no meaningful concessions, and you should resign immediately.
Trump, Musk, and DOGE would use the power of a shutdown to shift into overdrive.

And the courts, one of our best places to fight these autocrats, could quickly run out of money.

We can’t let this happen.
March 14, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Cool. When are you up for reelection? Going to donate to a primary challenger who might actually DO SOMETHING.
I will continue to fight against Donald Trump’s reckless, and in many instances, illegal attempts to gut the federal government. He is testing our system of checks and balances like they haven’t been tested in my lifetime. The fight continues.

The Democratic Party’s problems are not about being moderate or left. That’s a consultant and pundit red herring

The problems are in party organization, the culture of “it’s their turn” nominations, candidate recruitment, gerontocracy, inability to shape media topics, and coming off hella lame
March 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Well, I’ve got my list of Democrats whose primary opponents I’ll donate to. Thanks for that.
Final tally 62-38 for cloture.

Dem yeses:
Schumer and Gillibrand (NY)
Shaheen and Hassan (NH)
Durbin (IL)
Fetterman (PA)
Schatz (HI)
King (ME)
Cortez Masto (NV)
Peters (MI)

Hey @schumer.senate.gov, Trump praised you for backing down. That should tell you all that you need to know about what you’re doing.
"Schumer broke two prime rules of politics for leaders. First, don’t defy your own troops. More importantly, when you have the votes, as Schumer did, don’t capitulate without getting something in return. But Schumer folded a fairly strong hand, unilaterally."

Ex-Democratic Leader Schumer
Today on TAP: He has defied the will of the vast majority of Senate Democrats and played right into the hands of Trump. Time for a new leader.

You can almost see how Schumer wanted this to go:

Democrats nobly sacrifice their opposition in order to ensure the harm of a shutdown doesn’t befall innocent people. Captain America jumps on the grenade.

Obviously Americans will rally behind Cap to oppose the GOP who don’t care about them.
