I realise I never mentioned what ttrpg I'm currently working on: It's a fantasy world where magic regularly seeps out of remnants left behind by a past war, with environments and creatures being drastically changed wherever the wind carries the arcane energies. Working title "Witching Winds".

To anybody who's been to the Birmingham (UK) Frankfurt Christmas Market in the past: Is it actually nice, or is it naff? I might try to check out some christmas markets around the country next month, and this one is one of the largest, but I worry it'll be Winter Wonderland levels of tacky.

New idea for society: be chill with weirdos
Interesting thought. U.F. where you hunt the supernatural doesn't seem like a good fit for turning utopian, but a more hopeful spin could be made in a game where you play the "monsters".
What's the role of urban fantasy in a world desperate for utopias? Can we reimagine city life without horror? What non-dystopian fiction can we speculate for the urban landscape?

Everything is pushing spotify ads on me these days, clearly they are feeling people leaving the service hard. It's funny, I dropped it over a year ago already when they started investing in AI weapons tech. Didn't want to get in bed with Jack Dorsey either, so instead of Tidal I went to Qobuz.

I played an OSR one-shot with some new people, all about investigating some haunted house that traps people. Two characters died on me in four hours, but we ultimately banished the house.
Hadn't played at that level of lethality for a while. Really interesting to me that for some it's the default.
