So, a Gavan reboot is going to take the time slot once Super Sentai ends. I said it before, the thing about Sentai not being cancelled but a "rebrand", had no sources in the media and felt like the fans were in denial.

Some choice bits of information:

A movie appeared in 1983, in Mexico City. It was something rare for its time: an animated feature created in Mexico. Back then, only two others existed. The title was Roy del espacio — in English, Roy from Space.

A good visualization of what I mean. This isn't one 2:15 minute ad, it's a hundred little scenes, each entirely discrete and detached from each other. There's no continuity both because it can't think, and telling it to keep the number of wheels straight is too much to ask. bsky.app/profile/wapp...

Thought I'd check in on chatgpt and see if it had gotten any better at game history research. It hallucinated an unreleased "Wizards and Warriors IV" project for NES and when I asked what the source was it made up a tweet by...me.

KIRO 7 ran an article and two TV pieces on the theft of a box truck full of arcade PCBs, artwork, and machines from my workplace yesterday. If anyone in the Seattle area sees someone offloading a ton of CPS2/NAOMI/Neo Geo PCBs, stuff of that nature, please reach out.

In 1998, Cartoon Network commissioned MST3K creator (and CtC guest) Joel Hodgson and his brother Jim to create a new intro for SGCTC. 17 were produced, but were never used. Five of them were eventually released as Easter Eggs on the Volume 2 DVD. Models by Screaming Mad George. Paul Feig played SG

Much of the hand wringing, imo, is over a critic explicitly saying they are judging the moral fabric of a piece of art because of the tools used to create it and it’s making some folks feel uncomfortable and shamed. The people who feel that way should sit with that feeling.

Had an unused Gyro from a broken MJX Hypergo 14302 that I use for replacement parts, so I installed it on the Losi Nascar 1/12. Also tightened a bit the screws on the drive and now it drives a bit better, reduces a lot the incidence of slowly pulling to the right that most of them have.

The Maya Imamori situation is terrible. It feels like there is more to the story, but the language and context barriers are too high. Toei's way of handling this is poor. I wasn't watching No.1 Sentai Gozyuger, but this makes the alleged final year of Super Sentai worse.
