On this day in history 40 years ago, the final episode of Son of #Svengoolie aired due to the network feeling it wouldn't fit in with their new lineup. Rich Koz would eventually return to the character in 1994 and has been playing him since.

Trivia: The long persistent rumor that there were two versions of the ending made for Japan and the US where the local monster wins is based on the fact that you only hear Godzilla's roar at the end of the Japanese version,
