100 miles from the border is not a "reasonable distance." No reasonable person regards a place 100 miles away as being "on the border." Gettysburg may have been a "border town" in 1863 but no "reasonable" person would call it that now. Change this unreasonable law.

Whatever my uni declares, I am not going to engage with AI. I am not going to use AI or teach students to use it. I am going to continue to explain to students why it is harmful. Absolutely absurd to allow this anti-intellectual, environmentally devastating technology into the university at all.

If you tell a vendor that they cannot have blanket permission to use photos of you or your home for social media, I say about 60% would rather not take your money. One day I will work out how I think this parallels with politics but for now just know I think we are living in a hellscape. Thank you.

Yes and...you know who else does these things every single day?
Maybe someone with legal knowledge can tell me - when ICE breaks down a door without warning, reasonable cause or a warrant, could that be considered a 'home invasion' or breaking & entering? When they take private property and do not return it, isn't that robbery? It seems ICE is a criminal org.
I am not exaggerating when I say ICE functions as a terrorist organization in the Twin Cities. The goal seems to be to harass and frighten people (the ones who are lucky enough to not be abducted, at least) and it's deeply unsettling when you learn they're in your neighborhood.

You cannot overstate how startling it is to see a politician just say the thing with clarity and poise. No fearful hemming. No overwrought qualifying down til it’s meaningless. No lingering sense that there is a loyalty to a donor class or an ideology of stasis that they’d never admit to.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
