Still. True.

#USAID is needed more than ever with:
- ongoing wars,
- emerging zoonotic diseases (e.g. H5N1, #ebola), and
- existing infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS, drug-resistant TB).

Pathogens do NOT respect borders. Or America First Policies.

We're number 64! We're number 64!*

* - DC is 64th in the Copenhagenize global cycling index. We're 4th in the U.S., 8th in North America. That said, the top U.S. city (Portland, OR) is 35th globally. Montréal (top NorAm) is 15th.

We have a long way to go.

Why do the mobility devices that are designed and marketed to conquer all terrains always get the most attention to have a squeaky clean pavement, while everyone else is left behind?
Winter makes a city’s transportation priorities extra obvious:

Bikelane: nonexistent on this street

Sidewalk: covered in snow with a caregiver getting a major workout pushing a stroller through

Street: perfectly cleared for drivers

We can and should do better @minneapolismn.gov .

Pretty rich coming from a measly excuse for a man who paints himself an unhealthy shade of orange, and contributes only garbage and hate to our world.

DDOT continues to publish before/after analyses of safety projects. The numbers for the 9th street NW bike lanes suggest that we should be doing these projects everywhere we can. Crashes plummeted, pedestrian and bike traffic skyrocketed, and vehicle travel times dropped.

Bingo. Our 3 Ds are in shambles... Compounded by the fact that we have eviscerated our diplomacy and ceded development to China and/or Russia, the regime's reckless actions in the name of faux "defense" do nothing put paint a target and make us ALL less safe.
Since I haven’t seen anyone mention this: When the U.S. commits war crimes it puts our troops in danger also, as it gives a green light to other countries that they can do the same to us

Hey @ridelime.bsky.social: these three bikes at George Washington University Hospital in DC all have rear tires that are at risk of failure, the tread worn away and only the protective foam belt preventing a flat tire. Crash risk! Please fix ASAP! #bikeDC Attn: @ddotdc.bsky.social

It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

Does the regime think they can pretend that we solved #AIDS by ignoring World AIDS Day?

*or does the pro-life regime think that data reflecting excess morbidity/mortality since DOGE axed #USAID make them look *even* worse?

Arresting large numbers of peaceful faith leaders is a pretty good sign that you might not actually value your religion,
despite *constantly* invoking it in pretty mockworthy attempts to try and claim the moral high ground (or whatever).
What a photograph.

“Nearly two dozen arrested as faith leaders protested outside a federal immigration facility near Chicago…”

Arrested large amounts of peaceful clergy face first on pavement is a pretty good sign you’re not the good guys in the story. www.reuters.com/legal/govern...
