Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing a text, writing an email, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing since the dawn of time.

Friendly reminder: the administration is flooding the zone.

Pick a lane. Stay in it. Do not exhaust yourself.

The top line message: WE THE PEOPLE SAY “NO.”

No to destroying our science, healthcare, economy, government, judicial system, White House, etc.

It’s time to get loud!

They stole $205 million from Medicare.

They went to prison.

Trump let them out.

And now the same party tells us Medicaid cuts are about “fiscal responsibility.”

This isn’t governance.

It’s a for-profit presidency.👇

That statement goes straight to first principles.

What Sotomayor is flagging isn’t procedural nitpicking; it’s structural collapse.

If one person can remove officers at will, independent institutions become ornamental, checks become optional, and “the executive” becomes personal rule.👇

Democracy is messy.
Democracy is inconvenient. Democracy is disagreement.

What he’s describing as “unity” is authoritarian control.

One person issues an order, dissent is suppressed, and compliance is enforced.

If you want unanimity by decree, you don’t want unity, you want obedience.👇

Something we all need to remember
Our alliances are not held together at the point of a gun. They are not enforced through threats, ultimatums, or grip by a dictator who fears what happens the minute he loosens his hold. Consent by majority is the power we all share. Losing that will be tragic

In everyday speech, "theory" often refers to a hunch or a speculation.

In science, "theory" refers to a comprehensive explanation of nature.

Many scientific theories are so well-established that no new evidence is likely to change them.

For example: evolution and germ theory.

Higher education, if done right, will transform you into a LIFELONG learner. I am curious about so many things because my curiosity was cultivated in college. A BA/BS is only the beginning. You should be reading, visiting museums, going to concerts, debating and discussing things for LIFE.

No.

I am at peak crisis limit. I am overbooked. I am offering vouchers for crises to stay at the best western overnight. I do not consent to learning about the sand crisis.

Shamelessness is now a political superpower.

The explosion in CEO pay relative to the pay of workers isn’t because CEOs have become so much more valuable than before. They've just gamed the system to line their pockets. Is it any wonder why so many working people feel the game is rigged against them? (It is.)

There is a whole mini-youth subculture that reads one Wikipedia post a day and share the obscure things that they learn with each other. Often, it ends up on them going down a weird research rabbit hole, which is pretty neat.
I take Wikipedia for granted. Reading this Jimmy Wales interview reminded me in our Fantasyland age what a remarkable and important creation it is. True pillar of civilization. Runs on only $200 million a year. Requires our support. So I’m finally donating. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2025/10/18/m...
