Agreed. What we saw yesterday was an attempt to kill as many Jews as possible in as short a time as possible. Nothing else.
The thing is. Was this an act "designed to cause hatred, division in our communities, violence"? Or was it actually an act of violence "designed" to kill Jews. There's a limit to what this sort of pablum can cover and Burnham has very much found it.

This is horrible. Just disgusting and Letterman while less guilty should be ashamed too. And I am judging it by the standards of 1990s too. It was totally unacceptable even then
Trump on Mike Tyson raping a 18 year old girl: "Mike should serve some time and everything else, but...here's a woman that was dancing at his door at one o'clock in the morning."

The markets like Rachel from Accounts, which is something her opponents should reflect upon
if the pound has dropped 1.2% against the dollar and 0.8% against the euro that suggests that markets *really* don't want Rachel Reeves to leave the Treasury

I would add two things.

1. I doubt she knows the difference between a niqab and a burqa.

2. Burqas are very rarely seen in Britain. I have seen Niqabs but not often and I frequent massively more diverse places than Saffron Walden

I think this is a relevant and in the circs hopeful point
part of what made hitler so dangerous was that at least during his rise to power he really was not scared of physical violence and neither were any of his closest comrades. they'd seen worse. all our fascists know is bitching at each other online and melting down over petty drama. thank christ.

Correct. For all her countless faults, Thatcher would have been utterly contemptuous of Trump personally and considered his policy positions somewhere between insane, offensive and treasonous
Like other figures who've passed from history into myth, Thatcher has become an empty symbol for the Right, detached from her actual politics & beliefs.

For a "Thatcher Centre" to cheer on a president who opposes free trade, hates NATO & admires Russian expansionism is almost comically ahistorical.

At last I have got it. The person Milei reminds me of but I could not place is Max Boyce

I’m about to board my flight to El Salvador, where I hope to meet with senior government officials to discuss the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

I also hope to see Kilmar and check on his condition — and remind him that we won’t stop fighting until he’s home.
