NEW: Jan Crawford's attack on SCOTUS "corruption" narrative was its own substance-free narrative.

On Face the Nation, CBS News's chief legal correspondent went after Supreme Court critics as "dangerous." And yet, her court defense was completely lacking in specifics.

One thing that is under-appreciated is the reality that if you can’t walk *to* downtown from anywhere, the couple commercial blocks themselves being walkable is not terribly valuable
Me: would you say that Cupertino is walkable city? Yes or no?
Reply: Main street, yes

Perfect Roast Potatoes
Needs must and all that, so I have always been an open anti-perfectionist, but in truth (and I’m sorry to repeat what I’ve said before) it is impossible to cook roast potatoes without needing them to ...

bari weiss saw this and decided that she had to hide it from the american public
Guards began beating him. Beat him until he bled. Knocked his face into the wall, broke all his teeth. No access to outdoors, no contact with relatives.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...

I am proud of @katelynburns.com for articulating this fearlessly:

As someone who still unfortunately knows too many in DC politics,

I know from first-hand this is accurate.
Revaluating Sarah McBride
I was an early critic of the Delaware Representative, I've since come around on her actions defending trans rights. Yes, I know this won't be a popular take. This week, 213 House Democrats sent a let...

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
