Wow 😮…so NJ Transit is just running shuttle buses on local roads and calling it “light rail without the tracks”? Man, they’re just not even trying anymore, are they?
TIL that the 'Transitway', NJ Transit's plan to boost transit capacity to MetLife Stadium during the FIFA World Cup, which they are calling "light rail without the tracks", is actually just "running some shuttle buses on local roads". The original plan for dedicated busways was not implemented.

Queensway was funded through a back-room deal between its well-connected leadership and Eric Adams. Defunding this project is the rare win from this terrible federal administration. The city needs to put the brakes on Queensway and start over with a design that works with the MTA to include transit.
