The N has been a variable route ever since 2004 (and a brief period of 1990 when they had all four Manny B track in service). But the late night version doesn’t have a different letter.

Or at least 18/7. MTA have never put late night-only services on entrance signs. I always wondered why they never showed the 4 stopping at Lex Ave local stops even though it stops at them during late nights (in fact the 4 filled in for the 6 as the late night Lex Local from 1980-98).

Agreed that’s a big mistake they’re making, especially because they used to show trains stopping on weekends only. In 2004-10, they showed the N stopping at 28, 23, 8 and Prince. But when the W came back in 2016, they didn’t (and still don’t) show the N stopping at those stations.
