Another reminder that a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

Separated Bike Lanes Means Safer Streets, Study Says — Streetsblog USA

If you’ve got a Senate Democrat who is not calling for new leadership, they’re part of the problem.

We should no longer trust Senate Dems who decline to come out against the leadership that led us here. Until proven otherwise, we should assume they were in on the game to fool their own supporters.
“After a year spent organizing to try to convince the Democratic Party to unify and oppose this regime, here’s where I am: The time for convincing is over. We need new leadership.” - @ezralevin.bsky.social

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

non-Californians don't understand how stuck it is in our collective craw that we only have two senators and not *that* many house reps compared to our massive population and economy

we're a fucking Germany living in the US and treated like a big New Mexico. we voted "fuck that shit"
I mean, how else would Californians vote on the "Should we give California more power" proposition than overwhelmingly 'YES'
hilarious graphic right now on msnbc as they call it in california

I love the Blue Jays logo because they took a cool ass of a bird looking hard as hell and just slapped a maple leaf in the corner to make sure everyone knows they're Canadian.

For every €1 provided through a Basic Income For Artists pilot program in Ireland, the government got €1.46 back. So it’s being made permanent.

Over and over we see it. It saves public money to provide public housing. And it makes public money to provide basic income.

We can’t afford to NOT do it.
Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

ngl I’m genuinely surprised that > 50% of the Republican death cult is actually thinking hmm maybe this guy sucks
Promising miracles then not just failing to deliver any, but making things tangibly worse, can't be totally papered over with propaganda and cult-of-personality. Huh.
