Today marks the anniversary of the Black Panther Party’s founding in Oakland, CA. In 1966 the Party promoted self‑defense, community programs and a bold challenge to systemic racism. Its legacy still inspires movements today. Explore related titles at pmpress.org

this is the list of ideological identifiers laid out in the NSPM-7 that would predict violence, and are all of course, incredibly reasonable positions or just ridiculous framing, like “extremism on gender” which is just being pro-trans:

So that makes at least 4 J6ers creeping on PDX ICE protests.

Fulfer, David Medina, Katie Daviscourt & Quincey Franklin.

It's been surreal watching them all code switch to calling anti-ICE protestors "insurrectionists" as soon as they realized it was the magic police state button.
Far-right asshole Josh Fulfer, who called for vehicular assaults on Portland protestors, has come up from California & is filming on the ground tonight.

Irony: Antifa began in Weimar Germany to fight Nazis. Today, Trump calls Antifa “terrorists” while Posobiec cites that same history without noting they were resisting the very kind of authoritarianism Trump embraces.
From Donald Trump's Roundtable on Antifa just now —
"Antifa has been around in various iterations for almost 100 years in some instances, going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany."

They're talking about killing leftist activists. They're talking about murdering people organizing in defense of immigrant communities, doing mutual aid work, and protesting their violence. They are talking about murdering people like me and my friends. We must do more than acknowledge it's fascism.
My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

Because antifa is not a cartel or an organization this can literally only mean going after leftists in general

People are pointing out that this is just openly declaring intent to extrajudicially murder activists on the left, no matter how innocuous. And they do want to do that. But if we take the boat analogy literally they are actually saying they want to unilaterally merc random civilians for no reason

For decades lawmakers have funded and outfitted cops with military gear who are trained to unload on anyone for any reason they see fit, and now getting indiscriminately beaten and arrested by them is apparently the only defense from the actual military doing worse.
Telling the federal court that IL police can handle Broadview was part of the state's legal strategy against national guard being deployed here.

But it's hard to square that as for the good of protestors or Illinoisans as a whole, when IL police are perfectly willing to drag and beat them anyway.
state police continue to push protesters down 25th street. at one point, cops swarmed a group of people and pushed them to the ground.

multiple people arrested.

This is on JB, who supposedly sent ISP there to "protect" protesters from ICE. In reality, he just freed up ICE capacity to storm our neighborhoods and disappear people. Shameful from a man who has big words for Trump and Noem on television.

This frees up BPD and ICE to terrorize our neighborhoods.

Remember that all of this is in defense of a detention center where people are being held in horrible conditions after being kidnapped off the street for no reason.
Again today, local police outside Broadview just aggressively arrested more protesters. Tough to tell exactly how many, but looks like 3-4 people were just detained.
