Everyone is getting upset about the data centers. They pollute a lot and use a lot of energy and will eventually be very ugly/huge vacant buildings. And I understand being mad about that. Until you consider the state of the lazer tag industry at this moment, and how much help that sector needs.

The only thing I purchase on black Fridays is a piece of unidentifiable bone I barter with a neighborhood crow in exchange for a glittery guitar pick.

Usually this costs a guitar pick *and* a coin, which makes it quite a deal

best weekend with 2/3 of the dudes who, when their powers combine, function as arcade's dad. had turkey & dressing & pie & all kinds of sides. went to the lake & enjoyed another family Thanksgiving together but we sure did miss Bread Man this year

the time of year when everybody I love is an investor & wants me to sell pie. what these same people don't understand is that...pie really only turns out right for folks I love. there is, as ever, love inside the pie. 🥧

I stayed up until 2am but everything is pretty much done. here are 3 parsnip pies that we'll have warm with honey Greek yogurt & warm honey. I eschew sweet pumpkin things & everybody turns up their nose at this one--until they have a bite. 🥧

You know that one part of the Disney movie where everything starts going wrong for the villian and they start screaming uncontrollably at the henchmen and the protagonists and basically everyone because it's all crumbling around them?

It's very that

I took 5 big buckets of glass to the food co-op's recycling collection center. 5 buckets of glass, sorted by color & glistening green, clear, & amber in the sunlight. a whole darned *summer* of glass bottles. basically, I created a DIY smash room & found it VERY CATHARTIC, 10/10. would recommend.

listened to a Boring History For Sleep about lighthouse-keeping that was really fascinating only...I fell asleep (good.) I want to listen to it now but I'm certain it would give my brain GO TO SLEEP signals at the wrong time (bad.) how will I ever find out if they fixed the leak in the signal room?

the damned cat ate almost all of the leaves on Samuel Alito (the avocado pit plant) & a few nibbles on Clarence Thomas (the avocado pit plant.) John Roberts (the avocado pit plant) seems to be most safely situated but not without risk. anyway, hope those two are feeling that voodoo this morning.

It’s fun how if you get a little critter in your house a dog might kill it because it wants to protect the people that it loves and defends the home against intruders and a cat might kill it because it likes murdering things

Theirs is a rolling grift. It will move onto quantum and fusion and and and.

The problem is a lot of the tech they are playing with, in the hands of more socially responsible people, would probably eventually add value to humanity.

But we have hyper capitalism to thank for where we are.
