To my followers- I am sorry I can't donate to Gaza accounts at this time. I am disabled, unable to work, & spend much of my life in bed.

Please continue to follow me.

To UK government- we're watching a genocide in real time & you do nothing. This is unbearable. I'm ashamed of my government.

A friend with a new baby asked guests to mask in order to hold her baby. A relative refused to mask & broke down in tears about her "restrictions"

As a reminder, babies <6 months have the 2nd highest hospitalization rate from Covid after adults 75+ & are too young to be vaxxed

"24,000 households.. in Kent are waking up to a 5th day without water"

One affected resident says, of the private water company, "these guys should be in jail"

Labour could have taken our water back into public ownership. Instead they chose to side with the water companies.

Swear that some abled folk think we just go to the GP and leave with disability benefits…

Couldn’t be further from the reality.

Since I'm already diagnosed and trying all the medication I can, my interactions with healthcare professionals have actually been quite limited recently because there's nothing more they can really do for me. The healthcare I receive is disproportionately low for how unwell I am continuously.

I finished my PIP review form today (only took 3 months...) And its striking me how hard it is to gather sufficient medical evidence. Let alone that the form itself is barely scratching the surface when it comes to expressing how disabled I am.

While obviously Lammy's proposal of scrapping many jury trials is getting the headlines, it seems odd how little attention his proposal to scrap the automatic right to appeal is getting. That seems like quite a big thing to be honest, especially for poorer and more marginalised defendants. #r4today

So incredibly sad 💔😢
But yet another one of those ‘never events’ that I believe @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social committed to ensuring would never happen again 😢

Multiple “Prevention of Future Deaths Reports” just aren’t working. It must be time to take a look into the details and find out why?

#pwME
Thinking of Jo and everything she tried to prevent this death.

Wondered if you had seen this?
Ella Copley only 20
Just grim

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

✨Inside the medieval roof timbers at Beverley Minster, Yorkshire, one of the rafters has been dated (c. 921) and was a sapling during the reign of King Æthelstan, before England was an entity.
Touch it and you feel a kind of altitude and sense that the past is cheek by jowl.

We were attacked by fascists on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Aberdeen Trades Union Council held its annual St Andrew's Day parade along with community groups and refugees. It was explicitly a march against fascism, so we were expecting fascists to show up. And they did.

I’m so happy to see this. The lack of journalistic solidarity & collective action over the killing of journalists in Gaza has been distressing.

"When people asked, Why do you think it hit you so hard? it seemed to carry a tinge of suspicion. I must have done something wrong to bring Long COVID upon myself, as opposed to it being the cosmic car accident that illness so often is."

All too familiar re Long Covid & M.E!

An excellentpiece.
