poetry as the key to attacking soulless slop-generating machines is so perfect that if you wrote it as fiction people would sigh and tell you it's fine, just a little too on the nose.
Looks like LLMs are *very* vulnerable to attack via poetic allusion: "curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90% ..."

Reminder to Harvard: the time to fire Larry Summers was when he publicly disparaged women's intellectual capabilities.

Just played through A Short Hike.
I love this #indiegame and recommend it to everyone.

You have to experience its charms firsthand: little moments add up into an emergent story unique to your playthrough.

Work + life have me a bit burnt out lately. I really needed A Short Hike, and am glad for it.

I imagine these are the kinds of titles you'd see on the VHS tapes in the backroom behind the curtain at the movie rental store in the 90s.

jeffrey epstein calling trump "functionally illiterate" is so fucking funny in the context of all those emails where he types like he eats paint chips for breakfast

He keeps doing it. Every time somebody gets beheaded in this text, the word "head" is replaced with a little hand-drawn emoticon. And considering how many people get beheaded in this story, that's a lot of lil face drawings.

Yeah you know what, the description of Lugaid beheading Cú Chulainn was really missing hand-drawn emoticons, that's absolutely what we needed in this specific moment

not faulting anyone for the path that fits their life needs but a tradeoff people don't always expect of the high paying job at amazon, microsoft, google is they can waste 15 years of your life over the bold dream of one rich person wanting their own copy of what another rich person is already doing
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.
