Sometimes I think people outside narrative sincerely believe that placeholder text reads like “[PLACEHOLDER] I am reloading.” because the writers don’t have time to write anything else, and not because it needs to be highly noticeable amongst hundreds of lines of finished dialogue.

Even if I were to ignore the horrendous attitude of arguing "well some people's rights just aren't worth it!" I'd have to at least gawk at the willingness to suggest that 4,000,000 of the world population is apparently supposed to be an insignificant number of sacrificial lambs
First they came for the socialists etc. What if they came for some really small marginalized group of people (0.05% of population), and because we tied ourselves in knots trying to keep everyone happy, we never got into power, and never achieved anything.
