Wylie pockets a rather raunchy doodle at the home of his supportive fetish artist idol... only to find out when he comes clean that his wife is actually the ghostwriter of it all and runs the show.

And that she knows he took it.

Wylie looks over the wrinkled paper that he's just gotten his rocks off to. What is he thinking? He scrunches it in his hand on instinct and ruins the blasted thing. Into the bin it goes. No, he needs to shred it to make sure he doesn't look at it again. He kneels on the floor with his shirt still up to his ribs and his pants showing his rear, tearing it to shreds. The transition screen only shows the face of the lady who was dominating the scene betwen her and her male partner in shiny rubber gear. All that's left on the scrap of paper now. The same that's in the corner of his mind. The next day comes and Wylie seems to want to torture himself further, watching a potential employer thumb through his portfolio. "Uh, that's--" Passed. "Yes that's one from a project I--" passed. "And that was just an exercise really, something I--" "Mr Kogan, I unfortunately do not believe we have a place for your work at present." Wylie tries to keep a neutral face but it's kind of obvious. "I see. Well." Even with the feedback from his idol here he was getting refused so quickly. "It's not that we don't publish cartoons like yours. We do. We publish lots." Walter starts in with the spiel. "That's the problem . It's made us picky." He starts to messily stack Wylie's pieces back into a pile for him while looking at him instead of the artwork. Wylie barely gets in an 'oh' before he starts again. "I want you to try a simple exercise. Go home, draw 200 more pictures. Come back when you're done and I'll take another look. Trying to get a word in, Wylie gets the letter 'I' in before Walter keeps going. "Just put the work in, Kogan. Sharpen your edges. Maybe take a course, you can do that through the mail nowadays. Ever see those art school advertisements on the back of magazines?" His name is called loudly, and it's someone he's much happier to see. "Joe!" "Good to see you again, kid. What's it been? Damn near a month, I'd say." Joe glances down. "Hell's bells is that your portfolio? Don't tell me you're doing the rounds at THIS old rag!" he jokes. Walter glares and the two of them exchange names tersely. Then he regards Wylie again. "C'mon Wylie let's get you a burger." Walter grumbles something about not knowing they knew each other while Joe drags Wylie away. "Joe are you looking for work at BRAZEN??" he says, looking for work at Brazen. "HA. Not on your life. 'Men's Magazines.' Pfft. The Sweats we used to call 'em. You start turning in work here and you'll figure out WHY."

IT'S #WEREWOLFWEDNESDAY and today we're featuring part of BISCLAVRET by Rowan Woodcock!

A youthful man spares what he thinks is a wolf, whom follows him home and reveals herself to be more than just a woodland canine...
Letting loose an arrow, our lordship, dressed in blue and auburn clothing, chases after a rabbit that he had missed a shot on as it disappears into the brush. He appears to be in his mid-twenties, sporting a youthful haircut but a palmful of chin hair and a full mustache. But rather than finding his prey, a grey shift is in the brush, surrounded by a circle drawn into the dirt it sat on. "A shift? he says, picking up the plain top and looking it over until a snapping twig draws his attention further into the thick brush. His jaw drops on what he finds. A black wolf is wrapped within a rope net. From the disturbed ground it seems that it had been here for some time. "By Christ's eyes!" he puts a hand to the side of his head over his luck. "Who would abandon such a trophy?" But movement brings him out of thoughts of mantles or taxidermy. "Its still alive?" He questions aloud as he inches in to get a closer look. He puts a hand on it. Still warm. "So soft." he comments in appreciation, only to catch eyes with the wolf. He sighs in marvel and sits back, pondering.

South Korea, 1983. Hyun Sook joins a book club at her university, and learns that there's all sorts of reasons why a totalitarian administration would call seemingly harmless titles 'illicit' and ban them.

Other students her age cry for the president to step down during a drum and dance play featuring a fable monster that eats men. Hyun Sook is flabbergasted that even in a traditional folk dance team, there is a protest. She blurts it out. "I joined this team to STAY OUT of politics!" But one of her dance crew speaks up to her outcry. "In times like this, NO ACT is apolitical." "Not even a MONSTER DANCE?" "A Monster who EATS YANGBAN. You do know what a Yangban is, right?" Hyun Sook is unabe to answer more than an um, "A POLITICIAN. Can't get much more political than THAT." Hyun Sook is shocked to learn that of the dance. "It's 900 YEARS OLD!" To think that something so old would have the same modern complaints of administration made her jaw drop. Another dancer with glasses at the front of the prop of the monster lifts his side of it to comment. "Then I guess we'd better protest harder, because we STILL have all the same problems!" "That ENTIRE DANCE was just to push people into wanting to fight politicians?" Hyun Sook wonders, watching over the energy this has started, smoke rising in the background. "Oh, no." corrects the first dancer. "YOUR LOUD DRUMMING is enough to get them riled up for that." Does that sound familiar to you?
