I’m sort of at the point where if you’re an elected democrat and you vote with republicans on even one issue I will donate to any primary challenger. Shoot, even if you’re friendly to a Republican. The only way forward is aggressive antagonism

The shutdown deal includes a ban on hemp products that none of its negotiators debated in public.
Disappointing that only 24 senators voted against killing an amendment to strike that ban.

sidenote that if I had played Öoo (store.steampowered.com/app/2721890/...) before I wrote my IGF thread it absolutely would have been on it. genuinely one of the best platformers I've played. 3 hours of all killer no filler and does more with two buttons than most games do with a full controller

Expel the yes votes from the party and cut off all their access to fundraising, then remove Schumer from leadership. Anything less is mealy-mouthed coward bullshit.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

I know maybe this is naive but I truly don’t understand how the democrats can suck this hard at this stage of things. And honestly I don’t buy any of the “I am voting no on this terrible bill” posts - 8 months ago the same thing happened and I just find it hard to believe they’re not all in on it

Senate Dem leadership is straight up incompetent. Having people like @schumer.senate.gov in this position is profoundly harmful to Americans. I don’t have the words for this.
