Really clear messaging from the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene. At this point, it's not going to convince a ton of people to start masking, but it may encourage folks who already mask to keep it up - & it may remind others that masking is an expert-recommended NPI, not a weird obsession.

again, if a voting bloc supports the candidate that says "we need to eradicate ALL maple trees," you're not going to peel away their support by saying "well, we propose to only eradicate HALF of them" because you've agreed that maple trees are a problem and why would they vote for a half measure

There’s no reason ever again for any Democrat to suggest moderating on trans rights. There was never a moral reason but now there’s no political reason either.

Somebody tell Gavin Newsom and Pete Buttigieg. it’s joe-ver.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Nice reply "owning" me, unfortunately you parsed 2 levels of irony but missed completely the third, wherein it's clear I'm making fun of the persona your reply intended to critique. That being said I'm still hurt to an almost unimaginable degree

There’s a big hurdle any white guy, especially a Man of Privilege pretending at a working class background, needs to make it over as a dem candidate. It’s to convince voters that he’s not just going to be another Fetterman. Unfair, but them’s the breaks

I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.

I am an AI hater. This is considered rude, but I do not care, because I am a hater.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

I mean, here's what Republicans are openly saying should happen to people like me. Seems a bit Nazi-like, tbh!

I'll never get over the dissonance in people's dependence on the arts vs their disrespect/devaluing of artists. Everyone on this planet is basically addicted to one art form or another and derives sanity from it. But it's nothing but shrugs if you tell them artists are starving.

If you’re triangulating, you have to make everyone believe that you’re lying to/selling out everyone but them.

Fun fact, the list of elected Dems that can do that is:
