I think Brexit was garbage. But if in 2025 you're still pedalling "all we need to do is reverse Brexit!" you're ignorant. Everything before Brexit was fine, obviously. It was definitely ALL Brexit and not the six years of austerity before that and the 31 years of untempered Thatcherism before that.

i’ve said this before and i remain convinced it’s true, the 2028 platform that would deliver obama 08 results is “i am gonna
bring the hammer down on the corrupt self-dealing politicians and their rich friends and there are no sacred cows id give a pass”

The Daily Mail resorts to personal attacks because they’re rattled.

Nazi backing rags protecting their super rich owners.

And Keir Starmer’s randomly ranting about me in Parliament.

Best way to respond to this desperation?

disagree strongly with Michael on this. instead of building safety mechanisms into cars we should be giving pedestrians publicly funded lessons in watching out
My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

(15 in Manhattan btw)
There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.

As Russ said - surely this was obvious to all at the time and since. We are going to need a great deal of effort and will to catch up what we have already lost.

Amazed it took 40 years to reach this conclusion. It was obvious in the 80s, if you bothered to look.

Thatcher used the working-classes' own money to bribe them into voting to destroy their futures, and the Tories have been worshipping her for it ever since.

My Nan still talks about when it was announced that the Nazis had invaded Warsaw that her neighbour hid them in a closet terrified until someone explained the difference.
Growing up in the West Midlands in the 70s and 80s was very concerned about nuclear war as a result of the competition between Nato and The Walsall Pact. Didn't know what Russia had to do with town off Junc 10 of M6 but still don't trust them to this day.

Never thought I’d be pro monarchy…
It’s actually ideal to have a King that just stays quiet and out of the way instead of a head of state that really really wants to be a King and keeps acting in increasingly unhinged ways about it.
