So this is a thing you'll see a lot about immigration. The process is incredibly slow, the systems are overworked. If you have applied you will overstay before your decision is made. The system is designed such that you will be breaking the law, by their own design. This is arguably on purpose.
They overstayed their visas. That's not remotely a legal way.

I hope that this doesn't just become about "Nuzzi is bad" but fosters a wider recognition that our culture of political journalism that didn't just tolerate her, but promoted and celebrated her even after the allegations were known, is rotten to the core and has been for a long time.
this was bad before, but these are the most troubling and serious allegations you can make about a journalist. if they’re true, i genuinely can’t think of a worse scandal in the history of political journalism. devastating to our industry, to public trust as a whole, and to everyone in its orbit

When you ctrl-F and ctrl-V for "enemy" and "enemies" to follow them with the word "within," you get a bracing sense of how much Hegseth and Trump would like to leave people you and I know as bloody streaks on the asphalt if he could.

Political violence is bad. That's why I think it's bad that Charlie Kirk got rich and famous by fomenting it, cheering it on and spreading the cancerous ideas that inspire people to commit it. It's possible to condemn his own murder without pretending he was a person worth celebrating.
