The House Republican reconciliation bill will now ban both surgeries and HRT prescription under Medicaid for all Americans.
Earlier, I posted that it wouldn’t affect HRT. This is incorrect.

So this arrived today. One of my most beloved games, and one that meant so much to me during the very dark days of my late teens when dysphoria had driven me to becoming suicidal. I used to start it up just to wander around the beautiful pastel town and imagine something better for myself. (1/?)

there are many underlying contradictions at the heart of the obvious criticisms of the current american administration but there is one that sticks out to me a lot: americans can't envision themselves doing the jobs that other people already do for them in extremely shitty conditions
Everybody is talking about Trump's doll lunacy from the consumer side of the equation. But we should also talk about it from the labor side. Are doll manufacturing jobs something we want at massive scale? No, not really. Here's what this would look like:

i think people don't realize this directly affects what a huge segment of games looks like writ large. many, many people making small games primarily for the PC market focus on a handful of genres and themes because they play with steam reviews
The fact that Steam reviews and wishlists matter as much as they do has got to be the most "what are we doing here, man" thing about the indie games business
