I left a message at Senator Curtis' number, pointing out my 80 y.o. Mother with severe dementia won't be able to meet a work requirement for Medicaid; that if her care facility shuts down due to reduced Medicaid payments, I would have to quit my job to take care of her. Come on, Utah! 🐝📜🙅♀️

One of the central achievements of the Affordable Care Act was to *raise* the Medicaid eligibility threshold to 133% of the federal poverty level—because everyone understood that there are plenty of folks who couldn't otherwise afford health care even though they're just over that (arbitrary) line.

This is absurd. @nytimes.com needs to find a better way to convey to readers what it knows to be true: These "findings" are not actual "findings" in any sense that most people would understand the word. The casual reader comes away with zero sense of the deep rot of bad faith at play here.
