Can you imagine that defense weapons were sitting in Poland waiting to get transferred to Ukraine and got cancelled the other day.
Meanwhile, Russia launches an 8 hour attack as the U.S. betrays Ukraine.

And FFS can Trump stop calling Putin? Every single time this is the result

I think my ancestors would be very sad to learn that I live in a place where the reigning tyrant refers to “shylocks” while he builds concentration camps and secret police, and there is a place called Israel but I would never in a million years move there.

The time to present a popular front against Trump was last November.

Instead, people voted to strip Democrats of all power.

And now they're pissed off that Democrats aren't "doing something" to save them from their choice (or their failure to vote at all)... when they have NO POWER.

So dumb.

Just awful: A 75-year-old man just died in ICE custody, ICE has revealed in a notice to Congress.

But here's the rub: This man, a Cuban national, was first paroled into the US in 1966—nearly 60 years ago! They were set to deport him anyway.

Details in my new piece:

Isidro Perez came to the United States from Cuba nearly 60 years ago. This is who Stephen Miller is going after now?

I left a message at Senator Curtis' number, pointing out my 80 y.o. Mother with severe dementia won't be able to meet a work requirement for Medicaid; that if her care facility shuts down due to reduced Medicaid payments, I would have to quit my job to take care of her. Come on, Utah! 🐝📜🙅‍♀️
I put together some resources to help folks reach out to their federal delegation (particularly John Curtis) in an email I just sent to constituents. Hope this is helpful for followers here as well to share their opposition to HR 1!

One of the central achievements of the Affordable Care Act was to *raise* the Medicaid eligibility threshold to 133% of the federal poverty level—because everyone understood that there are plenty of folks who couldn't otherwise afford health care even though they're just over that (arbitrary) line.
Markwayne Mullin: "There are 35 million people that live below the poverty line inside the US. There are over 70 million people signed up for Medicaid. Now you're gonna tell me there's not room to make cuts?"

This isn’t over yet. Spread the word.

Republicans' Big, Beautiful Bill would:

— Kick 16 million off their health care
— Close 1 out of 4 nursing homes
— Hike your energy bills
— Add at least $4 trillion to the national debt

It’s a gift to the rich and a disaster for families.

Without state of the art meteorological information, DDay would have happened the day before, during a bad storm, and likely failed.
In today’s episode of What Are They Thinking: “If you don’t see a hurricane coming… does it really exist?”

🚨 The Dept of Defense is shutting down its weather satellite program. No more data. No more updates. Meteorologists are scrambling—and we’re heading into peak storm season.

Brilliant timing.

This is absurd. @nytimes.com needs to find a better way to convey to readers what it knows to be true: These "findings" are not actual "findings" in any sense that most people would understand the word. The casual reader comes away with zero sense of the deep rot of bad faith at play here.

The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary.

I’m choked up seeing this—it’s shameful.

Iranian refugees got snatched by “immigration agents” dressed like bounty hunters in West LA’s Sawtelle neighborhood.

We’re really about to send them back to a country we just bombed? A regime known for jailing, torturing, and killing its own people?
