Folks @ciol-linguists.bsky.social and #translators #t9n we have a real problem if an Oxford academic (Fabian Stephany) has no idea what we do and is advising MSM such as @skynewsrss.bsky.social incorrectly like this. I just hope he’s been misquoted 1/2

I’m not complaining but just a little puzzled…. I’ve gained 23 new followers in the last 24 hrs, mostly translators. What did I do right (wrong)? I don’t post very much so I hope you’re not all disappointed 😉

Whether it's Trump or Farage, 'Overreach' is in the Hard Right Populist's DNA. It is the son and daughter of 'doubling down'/becoming more extreme over time, and it is their greatest weakness in a democracy, causing voters to ultimately turn against them.
