It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

Not involved with the DayLITE situation, but I have dealt with similar things, and... my god I hope one of the takeaways here is how incredibly personal people's characters and creations are, and being that creepy toward them is incredibly violating

I think we as artists need to give ourselves permission to make our own stuff. I know a lot of people used the DayLITE work as a portfolio building project of sorts but...you can make your own projects up. If it's going to be unpaid...at least let it be yours. Let it be something you take pride in.

I feel like conventions should simply ban tables in Artist Alleys from selling 3D printed goods made from other people’s files, even with permission. If people aren’t supposed to sell enamel pins or jewelry off AliExpress, then why should anyone be allowed to sell prints from someone else’s files?
Honestly even if it’s a bummer for 3D artists like me who actually make their own 3D print files, I appreciate that Anime North bans all 3D printed goods because it means not having to see all the stolen files and slop. I can’t remember the last time I saw a 3Dp booth that was selling original work.

I have yet to see any evidence that there is a market for AI-generated books outside of people being tricked into thinking they are not AI-generated books. AKA, it is a project of scamming and deceiving people, and really should be treated as fraud
