Yep, all the "Who needs feminism? Who needs anti-racism?" talk from a few years ago is a prime example. Everyone was so quick to insist that it wasn't the bad old days, when objectively the problems were ongoing but things had improved enough that people forgot how easy it is to lose everything
This is also how I think we've been losing the fight on all progressive gains.
The people are so far removed from the consequences of not having certain protections that they just don't think they are necessary. A whole generation of progressives don't remember life before them.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.
